The story is set in the human realm (Tokyo's Shibuya ward) and the bakemono realm ("Shibutenmachi"). In these two worlds which must not intersect, there lives a lonely boy and a lonely bakemono. One day, the boy gets lost in the bakemono world, becomes the disciple of the bakemono Kumatetsu, and is renamed Kyuuta.

As a TV station helicopter relays a broadcast of his rampage, Mimi and Palmon spring into action. "We'll show people that there are good Digimon, too!" Mimi and Palmon ignore Koushirou's attempts to hold them back, however, and their battle brings about unforeseen consequences... Joe and Mimi each have their own troubles. Then on the day of Tsukishima General High School's festival, that man appears before them... The adventure now evolves once again...

As the Princess PreCure team, with two fairies Pafu and Aroma, they decide to fight against dark witch Disupia (or Despair) who hates all the dreams in the world and wants to turn them to despair.
