Natsume is again meeting new youkai and helping them. A lot of friends join him along the way, he meets others who can also see the spirits and at times they join forces to solve the latest mystery. As always, Nyanko-sensei is there to help Natsume on his quests.

The two begin hanging out and slowly, as time goes by, Tomoya finds his life shifting in a new direction.

Tsubomi is a little girl who is in the process of growing up. The show follows her as she discovers many things about life, she likes a boy for the first time and for example learns where babies come from when her mother is pregnant again.
